What is Low Carb? – There are many different low carb eating plans, such as Atkins, South Beach, Protein Power etc. In essence they all involve the reduction of carbohydrates in the diet along with an increase in protein and fats. Each plan uses different ratios of carbs to protein and fats.

What is a Primal lifestyle? A Primal eating plan is also based on the real foods that our bodies evolved to eat. It differs from Paleo in that the plan includes some more recent foods such as dairy based foods. The plan was devised by Mark Sisson and is a lifestyle programme that includes exercise and relaxation.

Paleo diets are based on the concept that human evolution up to the Neolithic period established the most natural way for us to eat, and that the move to farming after this period changed the human diet (and our health) for the worse. The paleo diet shuns processed foods including grains, sugars, and modern vegetable oils in favour of high-quality meat, fish, eggs, and vegetables.
